CROWN POINT – The recent NWIBRT Hard Hat Charity Golf Outing brought together more than 300 golfers from more than 50 companies that collectively raised $25,000 for five selected Northwest Indiana nonprofit organizations. The funds are now going to be used to support a collection of important and vital community programs.

Members of the NWIBRT Hard Hat Charity Golf committee present representatives from NWI nonprofit organizations with a check for $25,000 that was raised by local businesses.

The outing was a joint effort between the Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable (NWIBRT), the Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council (NWIBCTC), and the Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF). Attendees included high-level representatives from some of the region’s largest construction and industrial firms.

The following nonprofits are each receiving $5,000:

“On behalf of my fellow golf committee members, we’d like to say that we’re blown away by the generosity shown by our guest companies at this year’s outing. Thanks to their support, these incredible nonprofits are able to take their missions and programming further, positively impacting even more Hoosier families. We thank all of our attendees and applaud their kindness,” said NWIBRT Golf Committee Vice-Chairman Ryan Reithel, from IBEW #697.
