A public reading of the US Constitution will be Saturday, October 9 at Harp Commons

BEDFORD – There will be a public reading of the US Constitution, on Saturday, October 9.

The reading will take place at Harp Commons on the west side of the Lawrence County Courthouse in Bedford. The reading will begin at 10 a.m. Immediately following the reading, a free patriotic concert performed by The Mathis Family will take place.

The first 225 attendees will receive a free copy of the US Constitution to take home.

“It is a great opportunity to bring out the whole family to learn about this amazing document,’ said Mark Mathis who organized the event. ” There is no group, or political party involved, I’m just a plain old citizen, working alone to try and preserve this precious document which of late, has been so abused, maligned, and violated.”

Bring a blanket, folding chair, and sunscreen, and stake out your place on the lawn.
