Drivers Urged To Use Caution On Morning Commute

(UNDATED) – Drivers are asked to take their time and use caution on their early morning commute with icy conditions reported on some bridges and roadways.

“Be careful about driving to work or school this morning,” said Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham. “Freezing temperatures have created many black ice areas on the roadways in addition to bridges and overpasses. Slow down and increase your distance from other drivers as you head to your destination. Your safety is important. “

All area sheriff and police departments are reporting that conditions are hazardous.

Several accidents were reported last night in Daviess County along I-69 and in the northern part of Daviess County.

Local police departments reported a few minor property damage accidents throughout the day on Sunday and Sunday evening.
