Fire Damages Orleans Home Thursday Morning

(ORLEANS) – An Orleans home was damaged by fire around 2:57 a.m. Thursday. The home is located in the 400 block of Mathers Street.

Firefighters from Orleans and Orange County Rural District #2 responded to the blaze. Firefighters remained on the scene until 6:57 a.m. making sure the fire was completely extinguished.

At this time the cause of the fire is unknown. The Orleans Fire Chief was contacted this morning, however, he has not responded at this time. We will update this story when more information is available.

This fire makes this the second house fire this week in Orleans. Earlier this week a home was damaged by fire in the 700 block of Washington Street.
