Bertha’s Mission Servicing Meals Drive-Through Style

(BEDFORD) – Bertha’s Mission is expanding its food program to five days a week thanks to a grant titled COVID-19: Community Kitchen Support from The Duke Energy Foundation

The $2,500 grant will allow Bertha’s Mission to be able to take food offerings from three days a week to five days a week for the foreseeable future.

Wednesday delivery to the elderly disadvantaged will also continue.

Because Governor Eric Holcomb has ordered sit-down dining establisments to close, free, hot meals are being distributed through the Bertha’s Mission’s drive-through window at 512 Lincoln Avenue. Meals can be picked up from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily. To access the drive-through, enter from N Street across from Hometown Price Less IGA.

Each meal consists of a main dish, vegetable, fruit, dessert and Gatorade (while supplies last).
