(FORT RITNER) – Carl Ratliff, 81, of Fort Ritner, passed away at 3:00 PM on June 29, 2019 at his residence.
Born April 10, 1938 in Letcher, Kentucky, he was the son Hassel and Alpha (Jones) Ratliff.
He married Ruth Adele Cook on January 1, 1958 and she passed away February 15, 2012.
Carl was a graduate of Tampico High School and was retired from Merriman Steel. He attended Buddha Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church.
He is survived by seven sons, Phillip Ratliff of Bedford, Frank (Sheri) Ratliff of Olathe, Kansas, Alvin (Deanna) Ratliff of Campbellsburg, Indiana, Bryan Ratliff of Vallonia, Indiana, Anthony (Stacie) Ratliff of Bedford, Curtis (Mary Ann) Ratliff of Bedford and Alan (Amanda) Ratliff of Bedford; 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Earl Ratliff, great grandson and a great granddaughter.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral chapel.
