(BLOOMINGTON) – A man accused of driving a stolen car and fleeing from an officer at a high rate of speed on Tuesday afternoon crashed into a fence, flattened two tires by hitting a curb and then lost control of the vehicle in the Renwick neighborhood.
Police arrested 36-year-old Nathan Dickens, of Bloomington, on charges of vehicle theft, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and two counts of resisting arrest.
The 2008 Dodge Caliber came to a stop in a yard in the 1800 block of South Renwick Boulevard.
Police say Dickens stumbled out of the car and refused to cooperate with officers.
Police found a bottle of vodka on the passenger seat.
