(MITCHELL) – A Mitchell woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly hit a man with a 2×4 board.
Mitchell Police officers arrested 43-year-old Holli Drake on charges of battery, battery with a deadly weapon and battery causing serious bodily injury.
On Thursday morning, officers went to a home in the 300 block of West Warren Street after a dispute between Drake and a man over personal belongings.
According to police Drake had items that belonged to the man and the man had property belonging to Drake.
The two had an agreement that if Drake returned the man’s property that he would return hers. That was done, but the male returned to the home and the two got into an altercation. The male told police Drake attacked him with a hammer.
The male was able to escape and that is when Drake hit him in the head with a 2×4.
The man who needed stitches to the back of his head. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and Drake was arrested.
