Laura Dyan Carmichael, 41, of Bedford, died at 2:47 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 15, 1975, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Nancy (Page) Carmichael. She was a certified nurses assistant at Bell Trace in Bloomington.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Nancy Carmichael, of Bedford; a sister, Sarah Roberts and husband Chad of Springville; two nieces, Kendale and Kaylynn Robertsboth of Springville; her companion, Eric Combs of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Ralph Page, of Bloomfield, Sheryl Smith and husband, Keith, of Bloomington, Donna Spaulding of Ft. Worth, TX, Debbie Hall and husband, Dale “Butch”, of Bedford; several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Kenny and Lola Page and her paternal grandparents, George and Ethel Carmichael; one cousin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 12 th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenny Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Warren Michael Kendall – Bedford

Warren Michael “Mike” Kendall, 82, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at his residence.
Born August 12,, 1934, in Syracuse, Kansas, he was the son of Albert Lee Kendall and Laura (Sargent) Kendall.
He married Constance Connie Daugherty on August 21,1992 and she survives, of Bedford. Mike worked as a machinist, retiring on 2005. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford; Knights of Columbus Council #1166, and Bedford Eagles, Aerie # 654. Mike loved to sit around with family and friends while the men played music. He loved building things when it was in his profession or with wood in his small wood shop. He loved life and had a good sense of humor.
Surviving are his wife Connie Kendall, Bedford; daughters Beth (Todd) Hanning, Niceville, FL, and Jennifer Markum, Charlotte, NC, and Tanya (Jack) Glenn, Kokomo, IN; sons Michael Kenton Kendalll, Niceville, FL, Bryan (Shirley) Lee Kendall, Westminster, MD and Tirey (Theresa) Voorhies, Bedford; and sister, Lucy Carey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathy Freed, one brother, Albert Kendall, and one brother-in-law, Cletus Carey.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, Bedford. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

George T. Brown – Bedford

George T. Brown, 95, of Bedford, died at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born July 7, 1921 in Hard Co., KY, he was the son of Elmo Brown and Lonely (Wilcox) Brown Redford. He married Frances C. Woodward on September 7, 1940 and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2008. He was a farmer and a janitor for Bell Telephone. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was a member of the choir and the Brotherhood.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Rowlett and husband, James, of Munfordville, KY, Phyllis R. Wagers and husband, Forrester, of Bedford; four sons, William T. Brown and wife, Sharon, of Bloomington, Edward L. Brown, Clarance H. Brown and wife, Darlene, all of Bedford, Rick Brown and wife, Tammy, of Mitchell; nineteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a sister, Florence Brown Bradley, of Munfordville, KY; a brother, Bub Brown, of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two daughters; Georgenia Curry and Lorrione Brown; a daughter-in- law Marsha; three brothers, Winford Brown, William James; Brown and Willy Robert Brown
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 12th at the Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville, KY. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, June 12th at the Brooks Funeral Home.

Eleda Madge Reynolds – Mitchell

Eleda Madge Reynolds, 87, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her residence.
Born April 18, 1930, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Charles and Nora (Collins) Watterson. She married Carl Eugene “Gene” Reynolds January 27, 1951, and he preceded her in death March 11, 2010. Madge had been employed 27 years by Mitchell Community Schools as a classroom tutor. After retiring, she was employed at the Learning Junction Pre-School. She graduated from Huron High School in 1948. She attended Restoration Church of the Nazarene and had taught Sunday school 47 years at Tulip Street Christian Church and Hillcrest Christian Church. Madge loved children, gardening, canning, making pies, and watching birds.
Survivors include children, Danny Eugene (Ada) Reynolds of Mitchell; Janice Diane (companion Sam Miller) Reynolds of Mitchell; sister, Norma (Donald) Tincher, Mitchell
Her parents; husband; infant daughter, Martha Jean; and brothers, Noble, Floyd, Lester, Isom, James, and John Watterson; and sisters, Adah Schmidt, Clara Bryant, Mary Ruth Atchison, and Lorene Morrow, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Tom Bostic. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Charles E. Farkas Jr – Atlanta, GA and LuAnn Quigley Farkas – Atlanta, GA
A memorial service for Charles E. Farkas, Jr., 91,who passed away February 8, 2016, and his wife, LuAnn (Quigley) Farkas, 89, who passed away December 24, 2016, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors for Mr. Farkas accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. A gathering will be from 1 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
