Rondee Cheryl Sanders – Mitchell

Rondee Cheryl Sanders, 72, of Mitchell, passed away at 7:23 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 18, 1944, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Robert Quackenbush and Thelma (Connell) Quackenbush Lindley. She married Harold Eugene Sanders September 29, 1963, and he preceded her in death February 10, 2016. Rondee had been employed at Older Americans and was a 1962 graduate of Mitchell High School. She enjoyed crafting. Family was her everything, and she spent every day taking care of us.
Survivors include her children, Kipp Eugene (Melanie) Sanders of Mitchell, Polly Ann (Ron) Grubb of Mitchell; her little red dachshund boss, Emmy; grandchildren, John Calin Payton, Ethan Payton, Ky Grubb, Addie Grubb, Olivia Sanders, Katie Sanders, Cara Sanders, Ian Austin, and Emily Austin; great grandchildren, Morgan Lee Grubb, Gunnar Michele Grubb, Karsyn McLaughlin, Keatyn McLaughlin, and Madison McLaughlin; siblings, Suzy (Bobby) Robbins of Orleans, Pat (Nada) Lindley of Mitchell
Her parents; stepfather, Robert Lindley; husband; daughter and son-in- law, Kelly Renee and John Payton; and grandson, Jonah Lee Grubb, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, January 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Ronnie McLain and Pastor Tim Voorhies officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
