Ralph Jackson “Jack” Yeary – Bedford

Ralph Jackson Yeary, 77, of Bedford, died at 4:53 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
Born February 25, 1939, in Lee Co., VA, he was the son of Carter and Hazel (Alsop) Yeary. He married Brenda Fiddler on January 9, 1960 and she survives. He attended Tunnelton High School. Jack was the founder and owner of Yeary Construction, established in 1970. He was responsible for building over 250 custom built homes in Lawrence Co. over the last 46 years. He also was owner of Ridgeview Apartments and “I” Street Center. He was a member of the Lawrence County Home Builders Association. He attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He was a past member of B.P.O.E Elks, Bedford.
Surviving are his wife Brenda; one daughter, Melissa (Geoff) Orender; two sons, David E. (Christi) Yeary and Kevin (Tracy) Yeary; grandchildren Vanessa Jo (Dustin) Moloy, David “Evan” Yeary II, Sabrina Kay Yeary, Hannah (Jordan) Burcham, Clinton Jackson Yeary, Clayton (Anissa) Orender, Megan Orender, and Victoria Orender; three sisters, Lois (Charlie) Ely, Frances (Steve) Johnson and Sue (Ted) Turner; four brothers, Grover D. C. Yeary, Condy (Jane) Yeary, Donald (Gloria) Yeary and Charles (Patricia) Yeary, and one sister-in-law Marty Yeary; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Rob Yeary.
Funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford with Bro. Tony Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford. Friends may call on Sunday, from 1 p.m. till 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
