Philip A. Concannon, 87, of Bedford, died at 9:59 pm on Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born July 28, 1928, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of James S. and Anna (Licolnbach) Concannon. He married Rose M Magnus on October 27, 1951 and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2007. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a lineman for Public Service Indiana for thirty years and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
Survivors include a daughter, Marianna Teague and husband, Wayne; a son, Philip Concannon and wife, Cheryl, all of Bedford; five grandchildren, Chad Teague and wife, Brooke, Shea Teague and wife, Hollie, Andy Dorsett and wife, Melissa, Michael Walls and wife, Christina and Christopher Walls and wife, Angela; nine great grandchildren, Hadley, Campbell, Crete, Addison, Brooklyn, Abbie, Harper, Joel and Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a granddaughter, Lori Pruett; five sisters, Mary, Katherine, Rita, Cecilann and Patricia; two brothers, Joseph and James Concannon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 12th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary where a rosary service with the Knights of Columbus will be at 7:30 p.m.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence County Veterans, Hope Resource Center or Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.

William G. “Bill” Baker – Baker

William G. “Bill” Baker, 61, of Bedford, died at 3:00 am on Monday, February 8, 2016 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 25, 1954 in Bedford, he was the son of Gene F. and Barbara (Webb) Baker. He retired from General Motors and was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his life-partner, Linda Buzek and her children, Alyssa Prince and Jamie Mollet; his siblings, Vicky Lynn Beedie and husband, James, Steve Aronson and companion, Darla Dixon, all of Bedford, Janet Carter, of Heltonville, Linda Breedlove and companion, Phil Bartlett, of Bedford, Sandy Butler and husband, Scott, of Orleans; his special friends, Dave and Diane Klumpp several nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 13th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will be in Dive Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, February 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Scott Douglas McFarland – Mitchell
Scott Douglas McFarland, 50, of Mitchell, passed away Monday evening, February 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born May 27, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Samuel D. and Elva Mae (Conner) McFarland.
He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1984. Scott had been employed 25 years at Hoosier Cut Stone and most recently at Indiana Stoneworks. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar Racing.
Survivors sisters, Betty Pruett, Mitchell; Kathy Kirk, Mitchell; Sandra Bambusch, Mitchell; brothers, Sam (Kathy) McFarland, Orleans; Shawn (Valorie) McFarland, Indianapolis
His parents and brother, Steven McFarland, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, at Mitchell Cemetery with Gary Spear officiating.
