Charles Leon Cummings – Bedford
Charles Leon Cummings, 88, of Bedford, died at 6:05 am on Monday, May 13, 2013 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 30, 1924 in Norman, IN, he was the son of William L. and Hazel (Martin) Cummings. He married Nina New and she preceded him in death in 1999. He was a self-employed trucker and farmer. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and a veteran of the Air Force serving during WW II.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice Herr Harper and husband, Alan of Naples, FL and Debra S. Baker of Bedford; a son, Barry L. Cummings and wife, Michelle of Bedford; five grandchildren, Lance Baker, Christa Fulkerson and husband, Brandon all of Bedford, Amanda Koshinski and husband, Corey of St. Augustine, FL, Cody and Ryan Cummings of Bedford; three sisters, Essie Blackwell, Ruth Cummings and Shirley George; several nieces and nephews; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, David (in infancy); three brothers, Carl, Harold and Joe Cummings; two sisters, Catherine Ramsey and Thelma Stevens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, May 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor John Lane and Pastor Neil Hartzell officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, May 14th and from 10 am until the hour of services on Wednesday, May 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Jennifer K. Norman – Bedford
Jennifer K. Norman, 62, of Bedford, died at 5:45 am on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born November 27, 1950 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ervin and Rita K. (Lantz) Norman. She retired from Bloomington Hospital where she had worked in the housekeeping department.
Survivors include her mother, Rita K. Norman of Bedford; a daughter, Lisa M. Rainey and husband, Jack of Rockford, IL; a son, Ronnie Rainey of Bedford; two granddaughters, Kendall and Emily Rainey; a grandson, Harley B. Rainey; two brothers, Rick Norman and wife, Debra, Randy Norman and wife, Stacey all of Bedford; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
