Arnold Lee Bex – Mitchell
Arnold Lee Bex, 70, of Mitchell, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 unexpectedly due to complications from an illness. He was born July 23, 1941 in Bedford to Elmer and Ruth (Tolbert) Bex. He married Diane Reynolds on November 8, 1959 and she preceded him in death on December 30, 1999.
He was previously employed at Holland Dairy and Internal Honing. He currently worked part time at Williams Security as a guard while running his own business A & D Collectibles. He was affiliated with Fairview Church of Christ and had numerous friends and acquaintances. He attended Huron School and participated in sporting activities. He especially enjoyed baseball and basketball, continuing to play and coach into his later years.
The family would like to thank Bob and Pam Bex for their care and support and to Gene and Loretta King for their friendship and generosity through the years.
He is survived by four daughters: Angie and her husband Mike Kauffman, of Vail, AZ., Tina and her husband Scott Pensinger, of Galion, Ohio, Shelly Kern, of Bedford, Lana and her husband Jim Craig, of Bedford; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Arnel and his wife Ann Bex, of Noblesville and Roy and his wife Roxie Bex, of Bedford; one brother-in-law Lewis Patton Jr., of Mitchell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, parents and one sister, Dorothy Patton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Ferguson Lee Funeral Home with John Sherrill officiating. Burial will be at Port Williams Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ethel E. (Lambert) Stephenson – Bedford
Ethel E. (Lambert) Stephenson, 86, of Bedford, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 19, 1925 in Rochester, PA., she was the daughter of Cecil and Zena (McKinney) Lambert. She married Pete J. Stephenson Jr. on April 6, 1957.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Stephenson, of Springville; one son, Paul Stephenson, of Bedford; two daughters, Peggy Stephenson, of Tennessee and Carolyn Johnson, of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; one brother, Paul Lambert, of Logan, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Bruce Stephenson and one brother, Atha Lambert.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jim Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at the Stephenson (Hillenburg) Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
