Pastor Gary J. Stevens, Sr. of Bedford passed away Friday afternoon at the age of 63.
Born in 1945 in Bedford to the Reverend Joseph and Helen Stevens, Gary was the pastor of Friendly Bible Church in Bedford and retiree of the Bedford Street Department.
He is survived by his parents, wife Beatrice, daughter Jamie, sons Jim and Brent, brothers Joe and Jerry, sisters Sharon and Linda, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 aunts, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Debra, one granddaughter and one nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Judah Church of Christ.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 10:00am until 8:00pm and again from 10:00am until time of service Wednesday at Day & Carter.
