Eileen Mae Gilbert, 66, of Orleans passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Floyd Baptist Hospital.
Born April 27, 1960, in Washington County, IN, she was the daughter of Billy and Dotsie (Usher) Kaiser. She married Wally Gilbert on October 12, 1982, and he survives. Eileen was a member of Orleans Christian Church and worked as a financial counselor at IU Health Bedford.
Survivors include her husband, Wally of Orleans; three children: Jessica (Greg) Moman of Clarksville, Billie Kaye (Jake) White of Greenfield, and John (Harley) Gilbert of Paoli; seven grandchildren: Aiden, Sophia, Jackson, Bella, Dottie, Ellie, and Emmie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gary Kaiser, and a sister, Linda Merry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Pastor Tom Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Orleans. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Sunday, November 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that guests wear bright colors to celebrate Eileen.
