Weekend ramp closure planned for Clark County

CLARK COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an upcoming short-term ramp closure on I-65 as part of the Safer Drive 65 project in Clark County.

Beginning on or after the evening of Friday, Nov. 6, crews will temporarily close the northbound I-65 exit ramp at Exit 19 (Henryville) to adjoin the northbound inside shoulder and deceleration lane at the exit. This closure is anticipated to last until early morning Monday, Nov. 9, weather permitting.

During the ramp closure, drivers should follow Memphis Road east to U.S. 31 north to S.R. 160. The detour route will be posted at Exit 16 (Memphis).

The Safer Drive 65 project will improve approximately 13 miles of I-65 between Blue Lick Road in Clark County and S.R. 56 in Scott County. The project includes adding travel lanes, reconstructing pavement, and upgrading key infrastructure along the corridor.

Additional information about the project can be found here. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
