Wilma “Charleen” Vestal, 87, went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2026, surrounded by family.
She was born on September 7, 1939, in Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Mansil and Wilma (Ray) Ragsdale. She married John Linzy Vestal on April 6, 1958, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2007.
Charleen is survived by her son; Stephen (Teresa) Vestal, daughters; Dawn (Monty) Brown, Andrea (Jason) Hardin, Gina (Kenny) Sullivan, nine grandchildren; Brittnie (Addam) Grissom, Teresa Ritchison, David Stines, Zach (Audrey) Davis, Lindsey (Eric) Ostrander, Zane Davis, Zaryn (Makinley) Sullivan, Jeremy Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, several great and great-great grandchildren, sister; Connie (Terry) Myers, sisters-in law; Rosemary Confer and Loretta Swigler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Eastview Baptist Church, Paoli, Indiana, with Greg Strother officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Orleans, Indiana.
Friends are invited to visitation at the church on Monday from 1:00 PM to service time.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hardin, Addam Grissom, Eric Ostrander, Zach Davis, David Stines, and Zaryn Sullivan.
