BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Common Council will meet Wednesday, Oct. 14, to consider a series of ordinances and resolutions addressing the city’s 2027 budgets, surveillance technology, development regulations, and accessibility.

The regular session is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Room 115, at City Hall, 401 N. Morton St. The meeting will also be available remotely through Zoom.

Among the items on the agenda are two proposed 2027 budgets covering city operations and the water and wastewater utilities, as well as legislation that would prohibit certain surveillance systems and amend development standards.

Council members will also hear a greenhouse gas report from Sustainability Director Shawn Miya during the reports portion of the meeting. City Clerk Nicole Bolden is scheduled to provide a report to the council as well.

Several measures are scheduled for second reading, including proposals involving the city’s budget, transportation and environmental commissions, automated license plate readers and the Americans with Disabilities Act transition plan.
