ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence extended its streak to 10 games without a loss, edging Edgewood 2-1 during girls high school soccer action on Monday.
Summer Hughes scored the go-ahead goal early in the second half for the Stars, who improved to 9-4-1.
Roslyn Himmelspach gave BNL a lead at 5:43 in the first half (with an assist from Jenna Mullis). The Mustangs drew even with a goal in the first minute of the second half, but Hughes scored off a rebound from a Himmelspach shot with 32:44 left.
”We played a rowdy game against a physical team,” BNL coach Jordan Himmelspach said. “We did a good job in the second half of adjusting to their physicality and created more opportunities to score. I’m proud of how they find ways to adapt and overcome.”
BNL will host North Harrison on Saturday
