BEDFORD — City of Bedford Utilities has issued an immediate precautionary boil order for select addresses along Crawford Drive following a disruption in water service on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The precautionary order was prompted by work to replace a water main in the area. Officials advised that affected customers may experience temporary water service interruptions while the replacement project is underway.

The boil order applies specifically to residents and properties at the following Crawford Drive locations:
- 1208 Crawford Drive
- 1213 Crawford Drive
- 1218 Crawford Drive
- 1219 Crawford Drive
- 1302 Crawford Drive
- 1305 Crawford Drive
- 1312 Crawford Drive
- 1315 Crawford Drive
Safety Instructions for Residents
The boil order remains in effect until further notice. Residents in the impacted area are instructed to take the following precautions:
- Bring all tap water to a vigorous boil for at least two minutes.
- Allow the water to cool before use, or use commercially bottled water.
- Use pre-boiled or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, preparing food, washing vegetables, making infant formula, and making ice.
