JEFFERSONVILLE – Jeffersonville rolled to a 6-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during boys high school soccer action on Saturday.
The Red Devils (10-1-1 overall, 4-0-1 in the Hoosier Hills Conference) pulled away with four goals in the second half before the match was halted with 19 minutes left because of the rising temperature and heat index.
”I’m proud of our team as they held their own for a good chunk of the game,” BNL coach Reeve Arce said. “But we fell to a good team that maintained possession better in the second half.
”Despite some of our losses this year, we are averaging a third of the shots against our team and creating opportunities to score. The team is doing great there, we just need to finish our chances.”
The Stars (4-8 overall, 1-4 in the HHC) will host Bloomington North on Tuesday.
