Pennsylvania motorcyclist injured in Greene County crash

GREENE COUNTY A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital Tuesday night following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash along U.S. Highway 231 in Greene County.

Emergency responders were called to the scene north of Interstate 69 at approximately 9:00 p.m.

According to investigating officer Deputy Braxton Clark, David Rhein, of Pennsylvania, was traveling southbound on U.S. 231 riding a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle traveled off the roadway and came to a stop in a wooded area.

First responders from the Taylor Township Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance Service treated Rhein at the scene before he was transported via Air Evac to an Indianapolis hospital for further care. His current condition has not been released.

The Bloomfield Police Department also assisted at the scene.
