TERRE HAUTE – Members of the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, with assistance from the Terre Haute Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, arrested a Terre Haute man for possession of child sex abuse material.
Daniel Willis, 62, of Terre Haute, was arrested Monday, August 31st, following the execution of a residential search warrant.
Detective Robert Whyte initiated the investigation in early 2026 after receiving multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and a second unnamed company. Detective Whyte used a variety of investigative techniques to identify a potential suspect. Whyte applied for and was granted a search warrant for the suspect’s residence and place of employment, where Willis is a Senior Pastor. The search warrant was executed in Terre Haute.
The ICAC Task Force, which included detectives from the Indiana State Police, forensic examiners from ISP’s Digital Forensics Unit, Detectives with the Terre Haute Police Department, and Special Agents from the Department of Homeland Security, seized electronic and digital media devices. During forensic examinations, evidence of child sex abuse files was located.
Daniel Willis was arrested without incident and transported to the Vigo County Jail.
Willis is facing 10 counts of possession of child sex abuse material (underage of 12/Bondage) Level 4 felonies.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force is a multi-agency task force that investigates and prosecutes people who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually. The Indiana State Police oversees the task force.
