Dennis F. Mills, 70, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his residence.
Born February 16, 1956, he was the son of William Otto Jr. and Betty Lou (Wade) Mills. Dennis married Brenda Sue Franklin on May 29, 2004, and she survives. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service and went on to work for 18 years at NSWC Crane before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue of Bedford; two daughters, Sabrina Mills of Bloomington, and Katrina Sanders of Greenwood, South Carolina; a stepdaughter, Jenna Bazzell of Albany, New York, stepson, Trevor Bazzell of Cumming, Georgia; three grandchildren, Elijah-Rayne Fields, Cintavious Sanders, and Cyran Sanders; two brothers, Donald (Brenda Ann) of Huntsville, Alabama, and Ronald (Debra) Turner of Speedway; two sisters, Renna (David) Voelgerl of Jasper, and Sherri Peterson ofUnionville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Bruce.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, at Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
