LAWRENCE COUNTY — As preparations continue for the upcoming election, Lawrence County Clerk Amy Voorhies advised area residents during the commissioners’ meeting this morning to confirm their voter registration status and review personalized sample ballots well ahead of key deadlines.
The final deadline to register to vote for the upcoming election is Monday, October 5. Local election officials urge community members not to wait until the last minute to verify that their information and address are up to date.
Clerk Voorhies also stressed that voters should familiarize themselves with all measures on their ballot prior to stepping into the booth, including any state or local public questions that may appear.
