Linda Jenkins, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2026, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born November 15, 1946, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Joe and Helen (Mundy) Stevens.
Linda was a member of the Friendly Bible Church. She enjoyed music and singing and fixing her family’s favorite foods for them – taco salad, ham, granny cake, cheeseball, and more.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Tommy (Lisa) Jenkins, George (Tara) Jenkins, and Tim (Chasity) Jenkins; grandchildren: Amanda (Mary Ann) Finney, Crystal (Brad Myers) Jenkins, Melissa (Chris) Pavey, Olivia (Josh) Brooks, Owen Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Otto Jenkins, Elijah Jenkins, Jordan Couch; great-grandchildren: Carson Russell, Darah Russell, Cameron Russell, Zeke Myers, Zoey Myers, Zayden Myers, Jubilee Pavey, Killian Pavey, and one on the way; brothers Joe Bud (Brenda) Stevens and Jerry “Short” (Anna) Stevens both of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom Jenkins, daughter Michele Jenkins, brother Gary (Bea) Stevens, sister Sharon (Carl)
Lyons, grandson George Jenkins II, and other loved ones.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care at 527 15th Street in Bedford, with Preacher Tom Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Tuesday at the Limestone Chapel.
