INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Association of Health Plans (IAHP) today announced that Ashton Eller has been selected as president. Eller brings nearly two decades of government affairs and public policy experience and will lead IAHP’s advocacy on behalf of commercial health plans and Medicaid managed care entities serving more than 4 million Hoosiers.
Eller currently serves as vice president of governmental affairs at the Indiana Manufacturers Association, where he advises members and the board of directors on legislative and regulatory issues and builds consensus among companies with differing perspectives. His experience includes extensive work on health care policy and a deep understanding of the cost pressures facing employers and their workers.
“Ashton understands Indiana health policy, knows the people who shape it and has a proven ability to build consensus among organizations with different perspectives,” said Larry Lewis, chair of the IAHP Board of Directors. “The board is confident he will give our members a strong, credible voice and work constructively with policymakers and other stakeholders to improve affordability and access for Hoosiers.”
