Lawrence County Treasurer’s Office temporary closure announced for August 5–6

LAWRENCE COUNTY — The local Treasurer’s Office will be temporarily closed to the public on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, and Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, officials announced today.

The two-day closure is required to allow office staff to attend state-mandated training sessions.

Regular office hours and standard operations are expected to resume on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.

While the physical office will be inaccessible during this time, residents and taxpayers are encouraged to plan for any time-sensitive transactions.

  • Online Services: Payments and general inquiries can still be processed online via the official county website.
  • Drop-Box Submissions: Physical payments or documents may be left in the secure drop box located outside the office entrance. Submissions will be processed when normal business operations resume.

For urgent matters before the closure, community members can contact the Treasurer’s Office during regular business hours today.
