Loogootee Schools to hold Fall Sports Parent Meeting ahead of 2026 season

LOOGOOTEE — Loogootee High School will host its annual Fall Sports Parent Meeting on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, as student-athletes prepare for the upcoming fall athletic season.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Loogootee High School auditorium.

School officials require all middle school and high school student-athletes participating in fall programs—along with at least one parent or guardian—to attend the general session together before splitting off into individual sport breakout meetings.

The meeting applies to student-athletes participating in the following fall sports:

  • Volleyball (Middle School & High School)
  • Boys Tennis
  • Girls Golf
  • Cross Country (Co-ed)

Following the general meeting in the auditorium, coaches for each sport will lead breakout sessions to discuss team expectations, practice schedules, equipment requirements, and season itineraries.

Pre-Season Athletic Requirements

Parents and athletes are reminded that all state and district participation requirements must be completed before the official start of practice.

To be eligible for participation, student-athletes must have:

  • IHSAA Physical Exam: A completed Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Physical Form on file with the athletic department, signed by a licensed physician and dated on or after April 1, 2026.
  • Online Registration: All digital athletic paperwork, emergency consent forms, and code-of-conduct acknowledgments completed through the school’s online athletic portal (FinalForms).

For additional questions regarding athletic physicals, registration portals, or individual sport schedules, parents can contact the Loogootee Community Schools athletic office or visit the official athletics website at loogooteeathletics.com.
