MITCHELL — The City of Mitchell Common Council has canceled a special meeting this afternoon to discuss the potential expansion of city boundaries.
According to the official meeting notice, the singular purpose of the special session was to consider an ordinance to annex two specific real estate properties into the City of Mitchell.
The properties under consideration for annexation include:
- 8835 State Road 60 West: Also identified in county records as Parcel No. 47-11-35-300-037.000-004.
- 2465 Old Hwy 60 West: Also identified in county records as Parcel No. 47-11-35-300-041.000-004.
If approved, the ordinance would formally incorporate these land parcels into the city limits, extending municipal jurisdiction, zoning regulations, and utility possibilities to the designated areas
