Obituary: Logan Lee

May 17, 1933 – June 12, 2026

Logan Lee, 93, of Bedford, passed away on June 12, 2026, at Redcrest Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born May 17, 1933, he was the son of Wayne and Ruth (Hutchinson) Lee. He married Jean Mattox on May 30, 1952, and she survives. Logan worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ in Solsberry. He was a former board member of the American Red Cross, where he was Chairman for two years, and was also on the North Lawrence School Board, where he served as Chairman for two years, and was PTO at Fayetteville School. He enjoyed preaching at various churches.

Survivors include his wife Jean of Bedford; four sons, Jim (Cathy) Lee of Valdosta, GA, Sam (Pam) Lee of St. Louis, MO, Randy (Tamara) Lee of Florence, SC, John (Shelley Kenworthy) of Bedford; one daughter, Beverly (Dan) Kerr of Bedford; one brother, Raymond Lee of TX; nineteen grandchildren; and thirty six great children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna Conner; one son, Roger (Carol) Lee; and five brothers, Charles Lee, Robert E. Lee, Wayne Lee Jr., Ronald Dean Lee, and Donald Lee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Mike Davis is officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary, and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
