The Bedford Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet June 18

BEDFORD The Bedford Housing Authority Board of Commissioners has officially released the agenda for its upcoming monthly meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The board will convene to discuss ongoing operations, review departmental performances, and vote on new legislative resolutions affecting city housing programs.

The session will open with the traditional call to order, followed immediately by a review and approval of the minutes from the board’s previous meeting held on May 21, 2026. Commissioners will then address any lingering items left over under old business.

A significant portion of the meeting will be dedicated to evaluating internal operations through comprehensive written reports submitted by housing authority staff. These localized updates will cover four key operational sectors:

  • Accounting
  • Occupancy
  • Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Programs
  • Maintenance

Following the departmental breakdowns, the Executive Director will deliver an administrative report to update the board on big-picture developments and organizational goals.

The board is slated to vote on two key administrative measures introduced under new business:

  • Resolution #723: A measure to formally authorize the writing off of uncollectible tenant rent.
  • Resolution #724: The formal adoption of the 2026 Capital Fund plan, mapping out structural and financial allocations for local housing developments.

Before the meeting draws to a close, the floor will be opened up for public comments, giving community members and residents a chance to voice their thoughts, questions, or concerns directly to the commissioners.

Following the public forum, the board will officially adjourn the session.

Looking ahead, the board has already tentatively scheduled its subsequent mid-summer meeting for Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. That future session is slated to take place at the Hauck House residential facility.
