Sharon L. Stone, 80, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Born August 30, 1945, in Shoals, she was the daughter of Robert K. and Betty C. (Ervin) Hawkins.
Sharon attended Manual High School in Indianapolis. She worked in the restaurant industry for many years.
Sharon loved spending time with her family and attending all of the family events, attending church, doing genealogy research, and photography. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shoals.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Sandy (Denis) Schnaus, Roger Hawkins, and Sherrie (Brett) Chestnut; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Pam (Mike) Grindstaff and Denise (Mike) Delaney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Theresa Stone, and sister, Donna Hyde.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shoals, with the Very Rev. Fr. J. Kenneth Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care in Shoals.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s memory to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shoals.
