
Linville Ray Bell, 66, of Bedford, died at 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Majestic Care in Bedford, surrounded by his family.
Born June 3, 1959, in Somerset, KY, he was the son of John Ray Bell and Ruth Ellen (Brown) Bell-Taylor. He married Evelyn Murphy on December 1, 1978, and she survives. He had worked in the quarry; later, he went to IU as a cook and retired as a truck driver in shipping and receiving. Linville loved hunting, fishing, buying and selling tractors and trucks, mowing, long country drives, and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Springville; his children: Jessica (Nathan) Deckard, Chris (Bethany)Bell; grandchildren: Michael (Summer) Bell, Ethan (Angel) Sipes, Cierra (Skylar)Ashley, Hannah Bell, Tristan Sipes and fiancé James, Kalila and Jaden Deckard, and Talia Bell; great grandchildren: Avery, Dallas, Axel, Harper, Grayson, Aerie, Zadye, and Jay; two brothers: Zendell (Donnita) Bell and Charley (Rhonda) Bell, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dorven Bell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, June 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
