Nancy Carol Gadberry, 88, of Springville, passed away on May 13, 2026, at Redcrest Hospice House in Bloomington, surrounded by her family.
Born March 26, 1938, in Bruceville, she was the daughter of Arthur and Freida (Piper) Moreland. She married Larry Gadberry on August 15, 1959, and he passed away on October 23, 2021. She worked as a lunch lady at Eastern Greene High School and was a member of Owensburg Baptist Church. Nancy loved riding horses, going on golf cart rides, and camping. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by a daughter, Kim (Daniel) Christy; a son, Mark (Susan) Gadberry; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Gadberry; grandchildren, Katy (Ian) Stephens, Evan Gadberry, Jocelyn Gadberry, Kendra Gadberry, Kailey Christy, Danica Christy; great-grandchildren, Jon, Audrey, and Malachi Stephens; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents, and her son, Todd Gadberry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 18th, at Owensburg Baptist Church, with Jay Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery.
