South conquers Stars at Eagle Pointe

Parker Foddrill posted an 88 during BNL’s round at Eagle Pointe on Thursday.

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington South conquered Bedford North Lawrence 315-336 during boys high school golf action at Eagle Pointe on Thursday.

Carson Gady paced the Panthers with a 4-over 76, Colton Watson totaled 77, and Karl Bailey added 78 for the Panthers.

Hudson Martin posted a 79 for the Stars, while Evan Tillett finished with 81. Parker Foddrill and Brody Simmons capped the BNL scoring with 88s.

“It was a little bit of a tough adjustment for us,” BNL coach Trey Turner said. “A lot of the guys had never played Eagle Pointe and put themselves in some bad spots. It’s not a course that you can just bomb driver. You have to pick and choose your spots and we didn’t do a great job of that.

”Hudson played really well though, and continues to round into form at the right time.”

The Stars will compete in the Franklin Invitational at The Legends on Saturday.
