She has purchased commercial property in downtown Bedford, managed residential investment projects, and completed property flips, giving her firsthand experience navigating the local market from both the client and investor perspectives.

McLaughlin said her time living in San Diego as a military spouse helped shape her understanding of relocation challenges and strengthened her appreciation for Southern Indiana after returning home to raise her two children.
“Returning to my roots in Bedford was the best decision I ever made,” she said. “I am passionate about seeing our local businesses thrive and our community grow.”
In addition to working from The Real Estate Co.’s office on I Street in Bedford, McLaughlin owns a building at 1534 I Street that includes an Airbnb on the upper level. She said maintaining strong connections throughout Bedford and Bloomington has allowed her to develop a network of contractors, service providers, and business contacts that benefit her clients throughout the buying and selling process.
McLaughlin said one of her priorities is ensuring clients never feel overwhelmed during a transaction.
“In my own words, I am a numbers nerd, strategist, and experienced negotiator,” she said. “My goal when helping every client is that they feel informed, calm, and successful.”
McLaughlin said she believes success in real estate comes down to more than simply closing deals.
