BEDFORD — The Bedford Planning Commission will hold a preliminary hearing Tuesday to consider a request to divide a residential lot into two separate parcels.
Josh Waldrip is seeking a minor subdivision of Lot 1 within the Chapman Minor Subdivision Plat. The proposal involves splitting the existing 1.19-acre lot into two parcels: Lot 1A, which would be 0.59 acres, and Lot 1B, which would be 0.60 acres.
The application for the re-plat was filed May 7, with a final hearing on the matter tentatively scheduled for June 9. Travis Norman of the Travis Norman Group served as the registered surveyor for the project.
In other business, a planned resolution regarding changes to the city’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district has been postponed. That discussion is now expected to take place during the commission’s June meeting.
The Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the City Concourse, located at 1402 H St.. The proceedings will be overseen by a board of mayor- and council-appointed members, including Byron Buker, Steve Kimbley, Scott Moore, William McFadden, Kevin Jones, Craig Turpen, Richard Burton, and Heath Hawkins.
Mayor Samuel J. Craig, who is currently serving a four-year term, oversees the appointments to the commission.
Members of the public who cannot attend in person may view the meeting via a live stream on the city’s official Facebook page.
