PUTNAM & MORGAN COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces overnight lane closures on I-70 in both eastbound and westbound lanes.
Beginning on or after Monday, May 11, INDOT contractors will begin overnight lane closures between just west of U.S. 231 (Exit 41) and just east of County Road 1100 W., located near Little Point. The purpose of the lane closures is to resurface this portion of the roadway with hot mix asphalt and to complete bridge maintenance and repairs. Ramp closures are also expected within the limits of this project and will be announced at a later date.

Construction is anticipated to last until the end of 2026, but is weather-dependent and subject to change. INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and to remain aware of workers out on the roadway during nighttime hours, where visibility is reduced.
