Sgt. Josh Rozzi promoted to District Investigative Commander

PERU – Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony M. Scott has recently announced the promotion of Sergeant Josh Rozzi to the rank of First Sergeant. The promotion was earned through written testing, a competitive interview process, and an overall job evaluation.

In his new role as District Investigative Commander, First Sergeant Rozzi will provide supervision to the District Investigative Squad Leader and be tasked with planning, coordinating, and managing district investigations at the Peru Post.

An 18-year veteran of the department, Rozzi previously served eight years as Investigative Squad Leader and seven years as a field detective with the Indiana State Police Peru District. Earlier in his career, he worked road patrol duties from the Peru Post, focusing primarily on Howard and Cass Counties. Before joining the Indiana State Police, Rozzi spent nine years as a correctional officer with the Indiana Department of Corrections.

Rozzi is a 1995 graduate of Logansport High School and holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Indiana University of Kokomo.

He resides in Cass County with his wife and four adult children.

The Indiana State Police Peru District includes Cass, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Miami, Tipton, and Wabash Counties.
