ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence finished second in a three-team meet during Unified track action at Edgewood on Tuesday.

The Stars scored 121 points. Bloomington South won with 123 while Edgewood totaled 89.

”The kids did well, and we’re right there with a perennially tough Bloomington South team,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “We were a little down from Saturday, but that’s all right. We learned that even when we are not at our peak, we can still compete with the tough teams.

”This is also a long meet, which forces us to work on staying focused and mentally ready, even when there are long wait times. It is something mental that is important, but not always something we initially think about.”

BNL will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet on Saturday.
