
SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence finished third in a competitive four-team Seymour Invitational field during boys high school track action on Tuesday night.
The Stars totaled 140 points. Jennings County won the meet with 156, while Seymour scored 152 and Columbus East settled for fourth with 136.
In the girls meet, Jennings County took the title with 198 points, followed by the Owls (181) and Stars (151).
In the boys meet, BNL’s Luke Morris was a double winner in the 110 high hurdles (15.61) and 300 low hurdles (40.74). Tripp Stahl also captured two events, taking the discus (156-9) and shot put (56-1). Drvien Axsom was second in the pole vault at 11-0.
BNL had two winners in the girls meet. Paige Voigtschild crossed the line first in the 800 (2:19.39) while Madalyn Mason won the discus (87-3). Mason was also second in the shot put (29-3), Rihanna Tillett was second in the 100 hurdles (18.18), and Avery Brown was second in the pole vault.
The Stars will host North Daviess on Thursday.
