Peggy G. Ratliff, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:42 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 27, 1947, she was the daughter of Ermy and Juanita (Kinser) Eads. She married Kenneth Ratliff on November 9, 1964, and he survives. She graduated as President and topped her nursing class at Ivy Tech. Peggy worked as a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse at Dunn Hospital in Bedford for over 30 years. She was a member of Paynetown Pentecostal Church of Bloomington. She was a nurse in the First Group of Lifeline.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth, of Bedford; two children, Thairon Ratliff, of Bedford, Eric (Mary) Ratliff of Bedford; six grandchildren, Shyla (Evan) Peters, Addy Ratliff, Thairon Ratliff Jr., Macyn Ratliff, Eli Ratliff, and Emry Ratliff; one great-grandson, Zion Peters; three sisters, Marita (Tim) Bunch of Bedford, Rebecca Turpin, Luetta (Mike) Patton.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ermy and Juanita Eads, daughter Marquita George, and brother Danny Eads.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Cheryl Crum and Pastor Greg Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Covey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd, at Day & Carter, and from 11:00 am until the time of service on Thursday.
