PUTNAM & HENDRICKS COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces daytime lane closures that will impact I-70 in both directions in Putnam and Hendricks Counties.
Beginning on or after Monday, April 20, INDOT maintenance crews will close individual lanes on I-70 in two locations: Between the Clay and the Putnam County line and U.S. 231 in Cloverdale and between State Road 39 and Quaker Boulevard in Hendricks County.

The purpose of the lane closures is to allow INDOT maintenance crews to safely complete a spot paving operation.
Work is anticipated to last up to one month but is weather-dependent and subject to change. All lanes will be open after 2 p.m. between S.R. 39 and Quaker Blvd. daily due to traffic volume.
INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and avoid distractions, especially around work zones.
