JACKSON COUNTY – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., is scheduled to reduce U.S. 50 to one lane east of Seymour beginning on or after Wednesday, April 15.
Work will take place on U.S. 50 between North County Road 1225 East and North County Road 1250 East and is expected to take up to one week, weather permitting. U.S. 50 will be reduced to one lane using daytime flagging operations while work is in progress.
Crews will install final pavement markings, complete final pavement restoration, and install raised pavement markers.
This work is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Milestone in January 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
