Bedford teen faces new felony drug charges while on home detention

BEDFORD A Bedford teenager already under intense legal scrutiny for allegedly violating the terms of her home detention is now facing multiple new felony drug charges following a probation check.

Mylee Crosby, 18, was taken into custody on April 2, 2026, after Lawrence County probation officers reportedly discovered a significant cache of narcotics and paraphernalia inside her residence at the Ted Jones Drive apartments.

The latest incident began at approximately 6:03 p.m. when officers were dispatched to Crosby’s apartment. Probation officers conducting a routine house check reported finding drug paraphernalia and what appeared to be a firearm in Crosby’s bedroom.

Following the arrival of the Bedford Police Department and the execution of a search warrant signed by Judge Anah Hewetson-Gowty.

Investigators uncovered a black lockbox located next to Crosby’s bed that contained a glass smoking device with residue that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a bag of powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine. The lockbox also contained a syringe and multiple other glass smoking devices.

A black backpack found under the bed contained further smoking devices. Officers also noted various bongs and pipes throughout the room.

Police noted that the handgun originally located in the room was determined to be a blank revolver. Crosby reportedly admitted to investigators that both the lockbox and the backpack belonged to her.

These new charges, which include possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia, come just weeks after Crosby was cited for a separate “escape” incident.

According to a previous affidavit filed on March 25, 2026, Crosby was placed on electronic monitoring on March 3rd. Less than two weeks later, on March 15th, she allegedly left her home without authorization. While Crosby claimed she left to report allegations to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, monitoring staff tracked her making unauthorized stops at a trailer court and a gas station on Fairfax Road.

Staff noted that Crosby’s story regarding her whereabouts “changed several times” during that investigation.

Crosby was placed in the custody of the Lawrence County Sheriff on April 2nd and remains housed at the Lawrence County Jail for processing.

The Bedford Police Department was assisted in the most recent investigation by the Indiana State Police.
