“Maureen and I are praying for the family and loved ones of Capt. Seth R. Koval of Mooresville, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation in uniform. Capt. Koval answered the call to defend our freedoms, and his courage and service will never be forgotten. All Hoosiers join in honoring his life and keeping his family, fellow Airmen, and the Mooresville community in our prayers,” said Governor Mike Braun.

Governor Braun has ordered flags to be lowered statewide at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as the family honors the remarkable life of Captain Seth Koval.

Governor Braun encourages all Hoosiers to help honor Captain Koval by lowering flags to half-staff at their homes and businesses.

Capt. Seth R. Koval was joined in death by his brothers and sisters in uniform of Zeus 95, Captain Curtis Angst, Master Sgt. Tyler Simmons, Major Alex Klinner, Captain Ariana Savino, and Technical Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt.
