JACKSON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Hall Contracting, Inc., is scheduled to begin a pipe and culvert rehabilitation project along southbound I-65 in Jackson County on or after Monday, March 30.

The project will take place along I-65 just north of State Road 250 (Exit 41) near Uniontown. During the project, drivers can expect the following restrictions on southbound I-65 between County Road East 50 North and S.R. 250 (Exit 41):(Beginning on/after Monday, 3/30): Southbound I-65 will be reduced to one lane each night from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for up to four nights, weather permitting. (Beginning on/after Monday, 4/6 at approximately 6 p.m.)The right lane of southbound I-65 will be closed for up to five days, weather permitting. The left lane will remain open.
This work is part of a $2.3 million contract awarded to Hall Contracting in January 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
