Tony Davidson, 75, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, in Bloomington, surrounded by his family.
Born in Bedford, Indiana, on March 22, 1950, he was the son of Ernie and Alice (McCoy) Davidson. He married Diana Dixon on Sept 4, 1970, and she survives. Tony dedicated his life to his family, faith, and church. He spent his entire adult working life at Metropolitan Printing in Bloomington, beginning his career there straight out of high school in 1969. Over the next 45 years, he became a valued and dedicated employee before retiring in October 2014.
Tony was a man of deep faith and was an active member of Crossroads Community Church for more than two decades. He found his faith later in life but embraced it wholeheartedly. Known affectionately as “High-five Tony” by the children at church, he cherished every opportunity to share his love for God with those around him. His warm spirit and unwavering devotion to leading others to the Lord left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Beyond his faith and career, Tony had a lifelong passion for bowling. He spent many years involved in the sport by bowling in leagues and took great joy in coaching youth bowlers at Classic Lanes in Bloomington. His enthusiasm for the game and dedication to mentoring young players made him a beloved figure in the local bowling community.
Above all else, Tony loved his family deeply. He is survived by his wife, Diana; daughters, Pam Christenberry (Frank), Cindy Bell (Gary), and Nancy Davidson, all of Bloomington; grandchildren Katie Smith (John), Tyler Davidson, Alison Bell (fiancé, Nate Cardwell), Gavin Davidson-McCormick, Jalynn Davidson, and Nevaeh Birchfield; and great-grandchildren, J.J. Smith, Kaylee Hayes, and Emma Smith; as well as his brothers, Mike Clouse (Linda) and Dean Davidson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Alice (McCoy) Davidson; in-laws, Ernest and Truly Dixon; grandson, Nathaniel Hayes; brother, James Eugene Davidson and his wife, Brenda Davidson; and nieces, Dawn Clouse and Tammy Martindale.
Tony’s infectious smile and sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him. He had a gift for making people laugh and always carried joy wherever he went. His kindness and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
